A
gem on the coast

Navarre Attractions
These are a few of my favorite things.
1. The Weather- An average temperature of 75 degrees
and close to 340 days of sunshine per year!
2. The Sand- Our famous beaches are so beautifully
white for a reason! The sand has not been bleached b the sun as
was long believed. Instead, it is comprised of Appalachian quartz
that fliters down the coast from the mountains
3. Our Men & Women in Uniform- Local military
bases- Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field and Duke Field support
more than 60,000 active military, civil service and military dependents.
I salute you!
4. Southern Disposition- This is the place where
the 'sunshine state' wears its sunny disposition most proudly. We're
happy to welcome visitors from all over the country yet we're practically
a suburb of Birmingham, Atlanta, Mobile and New Orleans.
5. Playing Golf-
With many fine local courses we've created a few 'golf widows' here
in Navarre.
6. Boating- Grab a cooler, rent a boat and soak
up the sun!
7. Free Wireless Internet- There are several
hot spots in Navarre to connect to the internet.
8. The Snowbird Migration- Escaping the snowy winters
of far northern climates, these annual visitors flock to Navarre
for the same reason we like to live here full time.
9. Beaches to Rivers- We're known as The "Canoe
Capitol of Florida" due to our extraordinary variety of
inland rivers for visitors seeking adventure aboard a canoe, kayak
or inner tubes.
10. Weddings on the Beach- Hardly a day goes by
that you can't find some happy couple taking advantage of the natural
beauty of the Emerald Coast to say "I Do." Just think
how great the photos will look!
11. Catching The Sunrise Over the Bridge- Going
over the Navarre bridge at sunrise and sunset is a special treat.
As one person said it: "The world is waking up, and the colors
are absolutely beauitful."
12. Jogging Along Gulf Blvd- Take this path any
morning and be prepared to meet other runners, dog walkers and people
watchers!
13. Navarre Beach Arts- Check out the annual art
festival. Art, music and great food!
14. The Navarre Garden Club- An entire year of
our
garden club activities, events and information!
15. Shopping- Just a quick drive to Destin
Commons, Silver
Sands Outlet Mall, Santa
Rosa Mall, Cordova
Mall and the University
Mall.
16. The Navarre Library- Browse through
books, DVDs, music and audio tapes! FREE!
17. Panhandle Butterfly House- Located in Navarre
Park, this house is Inhabited by Florida
butterflies! Admission is free, donation are accepted to support
the purchase of butterflies and gardens
18. The ZOO- a 50-acre preserve with more than
700 animals surrounded by botanical gardens.. Visitors can ride
the Safari Line Train, feed and pet tame animals and browse in the
Lion’s Lair gift shop.
19. Motorcycles- You will find hundreds of motorcyles
gathering on Navarre Beach during the summer months!
20. Beaches to Woodlands Tour- October is a great
time to visit Santa Rosa: mild temperatures, discounted fall rates,
beautiful sunsets, and countless festivals, events, and shows! You're
invited to explore local hot spots, enjoy natural treasures,
and celebrate Santa Rosa Style with the locals during this time.
